FIDLAR deliver anthemic new cut "By Myself"
FIDLAR are back with punchy new cut "By Myself", which might well be their most infectious offering yet.
LA's FIDLAR continue their slacker punk sound on "By Myself", the fourth single to be shared from their forthcoming record Almost Free.
Debuted as Annie Mac's Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1, FIDLAR vocalist Zac Carper expands on the story behind the new track, "I called up all my homies to have a drink with me and no one showed up. What a bunch of kooks."
"By Myself" follows earlier singles "Alcohol", "Can't You See", and "Too Real".
On their upcoming album, Carper explains, "A lot of the vibe was, 'Well, why can't we do that? Why can't we have horns? Why can't we have key changes? Why can't we have a harmonica loop? It was about taking the ceiling off. Having it be limitless. Ain't no rules."
Almost Free is FIDLAR's first album since 2015's Too.
To celebrate the release of the new record, the California group will play a London show at Heaven on 31 January. Find out more.
