Daft Punk working with Kanye West on his new album
With music news buzzing with who will feature on the new Daft Punk album, it seems that there’s one exciting record that the French duo themselves will feature on, telling Rolling Stone that they have contributed music to Kanye West’s upcoming LP.
The electronic pair “laid down a combination of live and programmed drums”, the publication reports, while Kanye “worked out rough vocals on the fly.” Thomas Bangalter said of the session: ”It was very raw: he was rapping – kind of screaming primally, actually. Kanye doesn’t give a fuck.”
The pair had previously teamed up on West’s heavily DP-sampling track ‘Stronger’. Kanye’s yet-untitled album, and follow-up to 2010′s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is expected later this year.
