Blaenavon's new EP features the "saddest song" they've ever made
Blaenavon are back with their brand new Prague '99 EP featuring a trio of previously unreleased tracks from throughout their career.
The album features fan favourite "Prague '99" and three new tracks, which were each penned at different moments during Blaenavon's lifespan.
Prague '99 arrives in the wake of April's debut LP That's Your Lot and standlone Soko collab "No One Else In Mind".
"'Prague '99' is the people's choice," explains the band's Ben Gregory. "Whenever we play it - whether amazingly or shite, to thousands or to no-one, it feels important. It's been a game-changer for us and for the people that care about our music. In the three B-sides we've offered you an insight into our diversity. 'The Monte Carlo Kid' is spritely, ridiculous, but still a humungous tune. 'A Death In The Family' is an old fan favourite that meant too much to us to let slip away, whilst '12' is the saddest song I'll ever write. A true fuck my life. Enjoy."
Gregory is a guest on our new podcast series Talk The Line; we speak to him about his love of German literature - in particular the works for Herman Hesse. Tune in now.
Blaenavon are set to play Reading and Leeds Festivals this month, and then tour the UK from November. Find out the full details.
