Billie Eilish's Glastonbury slot has been upgraded
Billie Eilish has been moved to a bigger stage for this year's Glastonbury festival.
After releasing her huge debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? last month, Glastonbury's Emily Eavis has revealed that they've upgraded Billie Eilish from the John Peel Stage to the Other Stage due to her popularity.
Speaking to Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, Eavis said, "We’re currently moving her – she’s on John Peel at the moment but she’s much too big, really, for the slot."
Eavis added, "We are trying to give her a bigger stage where we can get a larger audience in there. So we are going to move her on to The Other Stage and we are just working out exactly where that’s going to be."
The "bad guy" singer joins headliners Stormzy, The Cure, and The Killers, as well as Janet Jackson, Rosalía, Little Simz, Kamasi Washington, Lizzo, IDLES, Miley Cyrus, Tame Impala, Janelle Monáe, and more for this year's festival.
Earlier this month, artist Joe Rush provided more details about his new pier installation coming to The Park area of the festival, "It's going to have everything you'd expect to find on a pier, including Punch and Judy, an arcade, carnival shows, a fortune teller, a wheel of death and more. Basically everything except the sea."
