2019 Grammys overlooked Scott Hutchison, Richard Swift, and more in televised In Memoriam tribute
The televised In Memoriam tribute at last night's Grammys didn't mention notable musicians including Frightened Rabbit's Scott Hutchison and Richard Swift.
Aretha Franklin, Mac Miller, Avicii, Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ed King, Roy Clark, and more were honoured in the televised montage remembering some of the music industry's biggest losses of the past year.
Although the segment of the ceremony wasn't large enough to commemorate all the artists and industry workers that passed last year, the ceremony didn't include mention of Frightened Rabbit's Scott Hutchison, Richard Swift, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ pianist Conway Savage, Buzzcock's vocalist Pete Shelley, Pegi Young, and many more.
I THINK YOU MISSED SCOTT HUTCHISON IN THIS LIST. Long live Frightened Rabbit x

Respect for the Grammys recognizing our friend @Geli but really disappointed to not hear mention of Scott Hutchison or Richard Swift

The ceremony has since posted a long list of all the "artists and industry professionals the music community lost in 2018–2019", which also includes a mention of controversial rapper XXXTentacion.
After Hutchison passed in May 2018, his brother Grant Hutchison set up the Scott Hutchison Fund, and hosted a tribute fundraiser concert which saw performances from The National's Aaron Dessner, Julien Baker, Kevin Devine, The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn, and Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard.
Another tribute concert was held in December 2018 after the passing of Richard Swift last July, including James Mercer of The Shins, Foxygen, Cold War Kids, Tim Heidecker, Damien Jurado, and more.
