UMI takes us back in time with the nostalgic, bubbly "High School"
UMI is a independent singer-songwriter based in LA, whose early single "FRIENDZONE" made it onto Spotify's Fresh Finds Best of 2017. Two years later, she's releasing her new single "High School".
"High School" is a nostalgic but fresh song, in which UMI sings about someone she knew back in high school but never admitted her feelings to. Her silky vocals and the bubbly production are a perfect match. "So please wait / I was too young to know back then / So give me another chance again."
The vintage-themed video for "High School" really captures the feeling of the song. We see UMI at a party with her friends, but just before she goes to talk to the boy she likes, the police crash the party.
