Stockhom's Janice is an alumni of the same Swedish gosepl choir as Lykke Li, Mapei, Zhala and Seinabo Sey.
Performing since the age of 5, the 22-year-old Swede - born Janice Kavander - is signed to the same management as Elias , another name to have come through the ranks of the illustrious Tensta Gospel Choir. Janice claims "to me, music is about breaking boundaries, make something new and also something beautiful for yourself.”
Her debut single "Don’t Need To" is uncluttered and swift, with an efficient and effortless vocal. It's beautifully utilitarian pop music.
“Don’t Need To” is released today with a debut EP to follow in the autumn.
