Annabel Allum is back with the biting "When The Wind Stopped"
Guilford singer-songwriter Annabel Allum returns with “When The Wind Stopped”, the second single to be taken from her forthcoming sophomore EP.
Making a name for herself with her affable and relatable brand of slacker rock, Allum’s latest outing is a passionate ode to not giving up on your childhood dreams as we mature and such dreams, undoubtedly, morph into more realistic adult ambitions. Following last month’s release “You Got It Good”, “When The Wind Stopped” continues Allum’s ascent with observant and opinionated aplomb.
"When I was a kid I had such big expectations of how life was gonna be. I think most people do, but somehow we lose track of our dreams and what we really want from life,” shares Allum of the inspiration behind her latest cut, all propulsive basslines, anthemic rhythms and Allum's signature, matter-of-fact tone.
"It’s so easy to shut yourself in a societal box and put your dreams to bed. I say fuck that. If you want something, go fucking get it. Less moaning, more chasing.”
