Charlie Fink shares new single "I Was Born To Be A Cowboy" ahead of solo LP next month
Charlie Fink returns with "I Was Born To Be A Cowboy", a refreshingly unchallenging slice of folky goodness.
An alarming increase in daylight and harmonious bird song can only mean two things; the imminent arrival of summer and a melodious offering from West London’s somewhat diminished nu-folk scene.
As much as we would wish for the forlorn troubadour to whip out his brand-spanking-new drum machine and don pure Supreme, the ex-Noah and The Whale frontman has adhered stylistically to his previous offerings. On the Lou Reed-inspired "I Was Born To Be A Cowboy" Fink combines dulcet guitar grooves with his trademark soft and supple vocalisation.
Alongside the release of his debut solo album Cover My Tracks, Fink will be starring in a production of the same name alongside Jade Anouka at The Old Vic Theatre. Directed by Max Webster and written by David Greig, the play is sure to be winner with new and old fans alike.
