N8NOFACE signs to Stones Throw and presents "Waiting to Wait for You"
N8NOFACE (pronounced “Nate-no-face”) has announced his signing with Stones Throw alongside the release of new song, "Waiting to Wait for You".
Where N8's earlier music was fueled by his addictions and the dark tales of hometown friends associated with Mexican drug cartels, new song “Waiting to Wait for You” looks at the day-to-day frustrations of love. N8 says, “It’s about still finding joy in watching your partner try outfit after outfit on; feeling like your whole night is waiting to wait, and you can't wait to do it.”
“Most songs I have written have come to me through things I have seen or experienced (drug tales, border life and the streets), But I have always been a fan of love, and wrote about that too,” he continues. “Love found in the darkest places, sometimes by the scariest people. I always bounce back and forth from heartbreak in the streets or from a lover. This song explores the cool things about love, while still having a backdrop of the scary hard world around us.”
N8 began his music career as one half of glitchy chiptune Tucson duo Crimekills back in the MySpace era, recording one-minute songs on the fly in his closet. Since that time, he’s collaborated with Eyedress and the Bloody Beetroots and performed with the likes of Cypress Hill as well as Limp Bizkit.
