Yesterday saw Berwick Street, London playing host a truly unique record buying event. Coming just over a month since Record Store Day, the Independent Label Market saw the owners and managers of some of the world’s most influential record labels set up stalls and play shopkeeper for the day.
The likes of Bella Union, Moshi Moshi, Domino and Mute were amongst those taking part in the event, with many labels offering rarities from their back catalogue. Label stalls flanked the length of Berwick Street in a patch traditionally used for fruit and vegetable market traders.
