Russian punk activists Pussy Riot will make their first U.S TV appearance, scheduled to feature on The Colbert Report tonight (4 February).
The recently-released protesters, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina are set to appear at an Amnesty International concert in New York this week, first appearing on the satirical talk show one day prior.
Tolokonnikova and Alekhina were famously sentenced to two years in Russian jail after holding a “punk prayer” protest against President Putin at a Moscow church. They were subsequently released in December.
