New Order to curate Manchester's Live From Jodrell Bank
New Order are set to headline a leg of this summer’s Live From Jodrell Bank series in Manchester.
Following on from Sigur Rós already announced to headline a show at the end of August, this new outing will take place on 7 July.
The legendary electronic outfit will be joined by Johnny Marr, among other acts.
New Order’s Stephen Morris said of the honour:
“Playing at Jodrell Bank is going to be really exciting. I grew up not far from there, and I remember riding my bike over to it all the time when I was a little lad. I saw Flaming Lips play there and they was brilliant. Really special. We’re going to try to do something special too, but we’re not telling you what! I do plan to take my life-size Dalek and Cyberman up there for the weekend at the very least.”
