Mick Jagger and Nick Clegg double date before Rolling Stones' Hyde Park gig
Despite turning down an invite from British Prime Minister David Cameron last year, Mick Jagger decided to warm up for The Rolling Stones’ Hyde Park show over the weekend with a spot of dinner with Deputy PM Nick Clegg last week.
The Stones frontman and his designer girlfriend L’Wren Scott joined the Lib Dem leader and his wife Miriam Clegg at La Famiglia restaurant this past Thursday night, The Times reports.
According to NME, Jagger chose not to attend an event hosted by David Cameron last year after expressing that he was being used as a “political football”. Jagger was due to appear at the Davos Summit and attend a tea party at the Swiss resort as part of a campaign to promote Britain.
Also at the unexpected dinner was broadcaster Mariella Frostrup and her husband Jason McCue. Jagger went on to play a mammoth show at London’s Hyde Park, following on from a Glastonbury headline slot the weekend prior.
