Lou Reed taken to hospital after suffering from dehydration

Velvet Underground man, Lou Reed was rushed to hospital yesterday but is now said to be “doing fine”.

The NY Post report that Reed was “rushed to a Long Island hospital yesterday morning” before being taken to “the emergency room at Southampton Hospital from his East Hampton home shortly before 7 a.m”. They go on to say that there had been “an emergency call for an adult male suffering from dehydration.”

The musician’s wife revealed during June that he had recently undergone an emergency liver transplant. Reed, 71, played his most recent live show just last month.
