Kanye West says The Life Of Pablo will never be for sale, but Tidal have taken people's money anyway
Kanye West says that new LP The Life Of Pablo will "never be on sale" and "never never never be on Apple".
Despite it not being available to purchase - even though Kanye desperately needs the moolah - Tidal appears to have taken people's money for digital copies of The Life Of Pablo.
According to a thread on Reddit, the streaming service has been charging users but not delivering an actual download:
"Tidal's Twitter feed has been flooded with complaints and requests for refunds since yesterday morning due to an apparent glitch in the payment section of their website which allowed people to pay for Kanye West's new album yet never sent them a link to download the album. Their help support team is only giving useless form-letter answers, in the rare event they answer at all. And now Kanye West himself is alluding to the fact that he's decided ;not to sell' the album until next week, and that it's not even finished."
Tidal themselves have replied now, but don't seem to have been given the latest memo from Kanye. In an email to those who've bought the The Life Of Pablo, Tidal writes:
"The final version of the album will be released in the next several days. Upon the new release, we will send you a download of THE LIFE OF PABLO to this email address. However, if you would like a refund, please respond directly to this email and our customer support team will assist you."
As well as all this and much, much more in his latest Tweetstorm, Kanye said that he and Kendrick Lamar, as well as he and Young Thug, have 40 tracks apiece raring to go - and all these (plus every GOOD Friday arrival) will be available on Tidal.
The Life Of Pablo is out now, kind of. You can hear it on Tidal.
My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on Tidal.
