Jack White thinking about starting new festival
Jack White has revealed that he’s pondering the idea of a Third Man Records-curated festival.
The potential event is said to have been on White and fellow Third Man bosses’ minds for “a long time now”.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, White said:
“We would love to . We would love to do a travelling show sometime soon. It would be nice if everybody has some affiliation with us in some way, and see if we can all put it on the road together. We’ve been talking about it for a long time now… It’s a no-brainer for us to put something together that we could do in Nashville, like a day or a couple-day event, but it would be nice to actually take it on the road.”
The former White Stripes man refused to set a date for the project, stating that he has a few other prospects on his mind in the foreseeable future.
White was recently unveiled as the official ambassador for Record Store Day 2013, which takes place this year on 20 April.
