Grimes, Diplo, Skrillex set to tour Canada by train
In what seems like an unironic buzz line-up put together by Hipster Runoff, Grimes is set to tour with Diplo and Skrillex. And if you think that’s weird enough, they’re set to tour Canada by train alone.
But we’ve come to expect the unexpected, or at least the things you hadn’t really thought about anyway, from the Canadian singer. The tour was inspired by Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead and The Band’s similar feat back in the ’70s.
Dubbed ‘Full Flex Express Tour’, the trio will stop off at the likes of Toronto, Montreal and Grimes’ hometown of Vancouver, each artist taking the rail together between stints.
The full live dates are as follows:
July
13 – Toronto, Ontario – Fort York
14 – Ottawa, Ontario – Ottawa Blues Fest
15 – Montreal, Quebec – Parc Jean Drapeau
18 – Winnipeg, Manitoba – Shaw Park
20 – Edmonton, Alberta – Kinsmen Park
22 – Vancouver, British Columbia – PNE Coliseum
