Apple launch iTunes Radio streaming service
After much anticipation, Apple have finally unveiled details of their iTunes Radio music streaming platform.
Long rumoured, the tech giants experienced a delay announcing the service after negotiation stalled with leading major labels about royalty costs. Now, however, they have launched the product at the WWDC conference yesterday.
The service has been compared to rivals Spotify, Deezer and the newly-established Google Play Music, the key difference being that it recommends music based on your existing iTunes library.
“The more you use iTunes Radio and iTunes, the more iTunes Radio knows what you like to listen to,” a press release reads. “And the more personalized your experience becomes.”
The service will be a free one, funded by adverts. It’s currently only available in the States.
