Hooton Tennis Club share playful new single "P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E" [Premiere]

Hooton Tennis Club ready themselves for the release of Highest Point In Cliff Town with rollicking new single, "P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E".

Lethargic sun-soaked guitars drawl alongside the bawling deliverance of the track's title. Though atypically languid, "P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E" is by no means lacking in exuberance. The four-piece exhibit a certain buoyancy that’s keeping them comfortably afloat.

Cryptic and nonsensical "P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E" is a glance into Hooton’s ebullient brand of odd-pop. The quartet's sound is ultimately an ode to the slanted sounds of Pavement whilst retaining the quintessential frivolity and cynicism of British indie pop.
