Irish singer/songwriter Maria Kelly is sharing "Stitches", a heartfelt new string-laced number due out next month.
"Stitches" is an evocative, atmospheric cut that bears resemblance to Daughter's richly textured tearjerkers. Kelly matches tender, sweeping strings with gently flickering acoustic guitars for the track, which "explores themes of self-preservation", before sewing her voice into the music. It's a glorious concoction full of ear-pleasing tones and immense emotion - "Stitches" is another signal that Maria Kelly is a talent to keep both eyes on.
The new single will be released via Veta Records on 7 October.
