There are some artists that you keep meaning on giving a listen but never get round to doing so. Mount Eerie is one of these examples for me, with repeated friends telling me how they love a different one of his albums I’ve just never known where to start. Just imagine trying to only now get into Mountain Goats, for example. It’d be like only just discovering a boxset of F.R.I.E.N.D.S in 2012.
Luckily, the new album from the Washington musician, ‘Clear Moon’, is up streaming on NPR. So I guess this is the right time for me to plunge right in.
