The renowned producer invites us behind the scenes and face to face with his famed neon deer mask as he brings his electronic and visual magic to San Francisco's 1015 Folsom as part of his world tour for new record Float.
On his latest release, he explains “On Float I wanted to go back to the beginning of Slow Magic. I wanted to capture the raw sounds and feelings and freedom of my first albums ▲ and How To Run Away while expanding and evolving into something completely new. Most of the songs started very stripped down, just with piano and organic instruments. I let the songs write themselves without forcing them to go anywhere they didn’t naturally go.”
Slow Magic’s third LP Float is out now on Downtown Records, including the Tropics-featuring dreamy synth-pop track “Light”.
