Sega Bodega reacts to Lil Nas X using him as a reference for new artwork: "yeesh"
Yesterday, Lil Nas X announced his forthcoming album, Dreamboy, and was met with backlash over the artwork being similar to a Sega Bodega release.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Lil Nas X wrote: "it just dawned on me how lucky i am to have all of you that still fuck with me. bc i know it isn’t always easy! dreamboy isn’t just an album, it’s me coping with the loss of what once was and fighting for a new world. im so excited to bring you on the journey."
People online noticed similarities between the artwork for his new single, "Light Again!", and Sega Bodega's 2021 track "Angel On My Shoulder", and shortly after, Sega Bodega shared his own response to the artwork: "Not even trying to put a spin on it is where I’m like yeesh."
