Saweetie says women are "running rap" because of "violence and disrespect" in men's rap music
Saweetie has revealed that she believes women are "running rap" because men's rap music has "so much violence and disrespect".
Last Friday (18 November) Saweetie returned with her new project THE SINGLE LIFE, and while appearing on the Bootleg Kev Podcast earlier this week, she discussed why she thinks women are running rap at the moment.
Saweetie said, "I mean, LA and other cities, it just goes to show that this is the reason why women is running rap and Hip-Hop, because there’s just so much violence and disrespect in the male music."
Shortly after, Saweetie said she thinks rap music needs to "get back to having a good time," and agreed that there's a lack of "empathy and love" in the genre.
According to a press release for THE SINGLE LIFE last week, Saweetie's debut album Pretty Bitch Music is expected to arrive in 2023.
