New Year, new Paramore? The band have wiped their social media accounts
Paramore have wiped their social media profiles and have have also shut down their official website.
Following the release of their sixth studio, This Is Why, earlier this year, Paramore came to the end of their contract with Atlantic Records, and a recent interview with Uproxx that was circulated recently seemed to suggest that this may be their final album.
Hayley Williams shared a strategically cropped screenshot of the interview, with the closing paragraph which read: “Now that Paramore has spent the year touring behind This Is Why (and making sure to take better care of themselves while they’re at it), a chapter of the band’s career has come to a close. They’ve now fulfilled all label obligations and are effectively free agents. As for the future of Paramore, all three members agreed that there’s a level of uncertainty.”
She hid the band's final words, including her own: “The only thing that matters is we will still get to be each other’s community," with drummer Zac Farro adding that he hopes they "can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world.”

Whilst there has been speculation that the band go on permanent hiatus after closing this chapter, Paramore fans are confident that this is just them signifying the start of a new era – much like other artists have done previously, including Dua Lipa.
The band have not spoken much about what the future holds for them, now that their contract with Atlantic Records is over, but they have since released a remix album, Re: This Is Why, teased a collaboration with David Byrne, and also revealed that they have been in the studio – all of which probably rules out the band calling it quits any time soon.
Paramore are also set to return to the UK and EU in 2024 for more dates supporting Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour.
