Is Dua Lipa teasing a new musical era?
On Monday evening (9 October), Dua Lipa wiped her Instagram of all previous posts and changed her profile picture to a blurry kaleidoscopic image.
As an avid poster on social media, it was hard not to notice when Dua Lipa wiped her entire 1,500+ feed on Instagram, and changed her profile picture from the Future Nostalgia album cover to a never-before-seen image of her eye reflected in kaleidoscopic diamond shape.
Not only did she wipe her social media profiles, but she's changed the thumbnail on all videos and songs on platforms such as Spotify and YouTube to kaleidoscopic, psychedelic images – some of which resemble magazine collage art.
Earlier this year, Dua Lipa revealed to The New York Times that her forthcoming album will be informed by “1970s-era psychedelia” as opposed to the house and disco instrumentals that were found on her second album. She is also said to have worked with Kevin Parker as producer. The new imagery she is teasing seems to support this.

Dua Lipa's forthcoming release will be the follow-up to her second album, Future Nostalgia, which was released in 2020.
Back in May, Lipa shared, "Dance The Night", as the lead single for Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie, which she also starred in. She is continuing to work on her acting career, as it has been revealed that Dua Lipa will star in Matthew Vaughn's forthcoming spy action-comedy Argylle alongside Henry Cavill, and Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Bryan Cranston.
Dua Lipa is yet to share any details about her forthcoming release.
