Megan Thee Stallion shares Dick: The Musical track, “Out Alpha the Alpha"
“Out Alpha the Alpha", Megan Thee Stallion's latest single appears on the soundtrack of the new A24 film Dicks: The Musical, which she is also set to star in.
Alongside the recent announcement that Megan Thee Stallion is set to voice a character in the forthcoming season of Netflix's Big Mouth, she is also set to star in A24's first musical film, Dicks: The Musical as a CEO named Gloria Masters. She previously featured in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and P-Valley.
Originally titled, Fucking Identical Twins, the forthcoming musical is said to be a take on The Parent Trap. Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson star as the main characters Craig and Trevor, alongside Nathan Lane (Stuart Little, Toy Story) and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Parks and Recreation), and Saturday Night Live’s Bowen Yang.
Director Larry Charles recently spoke with Consequence about working with Megan The Stallion in an interview with Senior Entertainment Editor Liz Shannon Miller. “She came to the set and no one had told her that she had dialogue and choreography besides the song,” he remembered. “She went and learned all that stuff and basically shot the entire ‘Out Alpha the Alpha’ [number] in one day, and then shot all the rest of her stuff on the second day. So it was a whirlwind, but she totally delivered.”
Last month, she reunited with Cardi B on “Bongos" which is the long-awaited follow-up to “WAP".
"Out Alpha the Alpha" is out now. Dicks: The Musical is set for release on 6 October and marks A24’s first musical film.
