Los Campesinos! tease seventh studio album and debut new song in London
Welsh indie-pop band Los Campesinos! have taken to their socials to officially tease their seventh studio album, following a show at the Troxy on Saturday (17 February) where they debuted a new song.
The forthcoming release from Los Campesinos! will be the follow-up to their 2017 full-length, Sick Scenes, and their 2021 EP, Whole Damn Body.
During their show at Troxy over the weekend, which included a career-spanning set including the likes of "The Sea Is a Good Place to Think of the Future", "Romance Is Boring", "Cemetary Gaits", and "Sweet Dreams, Sweet Cheeks", which they haven't played live since 2019, frontman Gareth David introduced the brand new song, "Psychic Wound", and teased the forthcoming album set for later this year.
Taking to their socials this afternoon to confirm the news, they wrote: "We’ve been in and out of the studio since October 2023, and the album will be out worldwide this Summer. More news soon, but let it be known we’re back for our crown."
