LCD Soundsystem return with first new single in five years "New Body Rhumba"
LCD Soundsystem have unveiled "New Body Rhumba", their first new material in five years, and it features on the soundtrack for Noah Baumbach's film adaptation of White Noise.
"New Body Rhumba" is the group's first new outing since their 2017 album American Dream, and is lifted from the soundtrack of White Noise, Noah Baumbach's film adaptation of Don DeLillo’s classic novel that's coming to Netflix at the end of the year.
White Noise will star Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle, Jodie Turner-Smith and André 3000, and was premiered at this year's Venice Film Festival.
Back in March LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy wrote about the band's residencies, potential new music, Saturday Night Live and more, revealing that they might just do "singles for a while, so there isn’t some “album panic” etc."
LCD Soundsystem's "New Body Rhumba" song is out now. White Noise will arrive in select cinemas on 25 November before getting a Netflix release on 30 December.
