
Wu-Tang Clan pay tribute to late mentor Popa Wu
Members of Wu-Tang Clan have posted tribute messages for their late mentor and collaborator Popa Wu.
According to Rolling Stone, Popa Wu died aged 63 and his cause of death is still unknown.
Popa Wu was also known as Freedum Allah, and featured on a number of Wu-Tang Clan group and solo tracks over the years, including "Wu-Revolution" (from Wu-Tang Forever), Ghostface Killah’s "All That I Got Is You", and Raekwon’s "North Star (Jewels)".
He was a key part in the formation of Wu-Tang Clan, and the older cousin of RZA, and a relative to GZA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Check out the tributes from the Wu-Tang Clan members below.
