
Waxahatchee shares "Silver", the first single from new album Out In The Storm
Waxahatchee has announced new record Out In The Storm and revealed lead single "Silver".
The LP is the follow up to 2015's acclaimed Ivy Tripp and Katie Crutchfield's fourth in total. It's described as "her most autobiographical" yet.
"It’s about self-examination and the different shapes that takes, good and bad," Crutchfield says of new offering "Silver". "I wanted it to be abstract and poetic, but I also wanted to align it with the other songs on the album, since they’re all so connected lyrically."
Out In The Storm was recorded with John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr) at Miner Street in Philadelphia last winter. Sister Allison Crutchfield features on keyboards and percussion, with Katherine Simonetti on bass, Ashley Arnwine on drums, and Katie Harkin (Sleater-Kinney tourist guitarist) contributing lead guitar.
