Ty Dolla $ign shares clip of him covering Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Ty Dolla $ign has shared a clip of him playing Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with his band, ahead of the track's 30th anniversary later this year.

The rapper is a big Nirvana fan, and yesterday (12 January) Ty Dolla $ign uploaded a short clip of him rocking out while playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with his band.

His cover doesn't include any vocals, but instead sees him playing the iconic guitar riff before being joined by his live band.

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" will celebrate its 30th anniversary in September this year.

Ty Dolla $ign has a tattoo of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain on the back of one of his legs, which he revealed in 2019 when recreating SPIN's black-and-white Cobain cover story.

Last year Ty Dolla $ign released his Featuring Ty Dolla $ign album, and in November he revealed he's been working on music with James Blake.
