The Smashing Pumpkins return with new tracks "Cyr" and "The Colour Of Love"
The Smashing Pumpkins are back with their first new songs of 2020, "Cyr" and "The Colour Of Love".
"Cyr" and "The Colour Of Love" are the group's first new tracks since releasing their 2018 LP Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.
Lead vocalist Billy Corgan says of "Cyr", ""Cyr" is dystopic folly, one soul against the world sort of stuff, set against a backdrop of shifting loyalties and sped up time. To me it stands as both hopeful and dismissive of what is and isn't possible with faith."
Both tracks were recorded in Chicago and produced by Corgan.
The band are also currently working on their new album with founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Last year, Corgan released his latest solo LP Cotillions.
