The Naked And Famous unveil first single of the year "Sunseeker"
The Naked And Famous have returned with bright new track "Sunseeker", their first single of the year.
"Sunseeker" is the first single from The Naked And Famous as a duo, and their first release since their 2018 compilation A Still Heart.
Alisa Xayalith says of their new single, ""Sunseeker" was written in a time when I was covered in joy and positivity. It was inspired by my dog, Ginger. She came into my life unexpectedly, as did the boy who I fell in love with that found her. I didn’t grow up with a family pet, and now I can’t imagine life without her. She was present for all the TNAF sessions over the last year. I started calling her my "Sunseeker" - she’d disappear into the garden, and I’d find her in various places basking in patches of sunlight beaming through the trees. The song is about something, or someone, appearing in your life that you didn’t know you needed."
Thom Powers told Billboard of the new release, "After Simple Forms, it took Alisa and I some time to figure out if we were going to continue with The Naked and Famous. After some personal and musical soul searching, we had a eureka moment in our creative partnership last summer. This was when "Sunseeker" and the majority of the new music was born. We found ourselves in an invigorated creative flow."
