The Beths preview second album with third single "Out Of Sight"
New Zealand's The Beths have shared new track "Out Of Sight", the third single to be lifted from their forthcoming album Jump Rope Gazers.
"Out Of Sight" follows on from previous singles "Dying To Believe" and "I'm Not Getting Excited", and arrives with a video directed by Ezra Simons that sees the band go birdwatching.
Lead vocalist Elizabeth Stokes says of the new release, "The band playing on "Out Of Sight" is more fragile than we usually allow ourselves to be. We are trying to listen more deeply and be more open ended, it was confronting to do and sometimes even frustrating. But it came out great, Ben’s bass playing especially is beautifully melodic and gives the song a unique texture."
Jump Rope Gazers will follow on from The Beths' 2018 debut Future Me Hates Me.
They recorded the new album at guitarist Jonathan Pearce’s Auckland studio, with Pearce also taking control of production for the LP.
