Superfood are invigorated on sample-rich curveball "Double Dutch"
Superfood have lifted the lid on "Double Dutch", their debut single for Dirty Hit and first new material since 2014.
The band are back with a new label (which is home to The 1975, The Japanese House, and more) and a very different sound. Now a two piece (Dom Ganderton and Ryan Malcolm), Superfood veer into sleek, R&B-infused synthpop - there are warped samples, woozy electronics, and chunky bass grooves.
"We had no money, no label and wanted to give up several times." says frontman Ganderton of the revamped Superfood. Together they worked through obstacles and emerged with a trove of new ideas; Superfood's as-yet-untitled second record is due later this year.
