Sufjan Stevens is releasing new single "Video Game" tomorrow
Sufjan Stevens is releasing his next single from his upcoming album The Ascension tomorrow (13 August), and it's called "Video Game".
So far, Stevens has only released one single from eighth album The Ascension, the 12-and-a-half-minute closing track "America".
Early this morning (12 August), Asthmatic Kitty Records confirmed that the album's second single, "Video Game", will be arriving tomorrow (13 August).

The Ascension will be Stevens' first album since releasing Aporia in March - a collaborative LP with his stepfather Lowell Brams. It will be Stevens' first solo album since 2015's Carrie & Lowell.
Discussing his album, the singer/songwriter explains, "My objective for this album was simple: Interrogate the world around you. Question anything that doesn’t hold water. Exterminate all bullshit. Be part of the solution or get out of the way. Keep it real. Keep it true. Keep it simple. Keep it moving."
On top of preparing to release his new album, Stevens has also shared the "America" b-side "My Rajneesh", and featured on Mina Tindle's recent single "Give A Little Love".
