Suffolk venue claims Arctic Monkeys were recording their seventh album in June
Suffolk venue Butley Priory has claimed that Arctic Monkeys recorded their seventh album while staying there in June.
The band are yet to follow up 2018's Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino album, and over the weekend a venue in Suffolk revealed that Arctic Monkeys had been staying there for a month in June to record a new album.
According to an Instagram fan account, a post on the venue site read: "We've had a band staying for the last month recording an album. Musicians love the acoustics in the Great Hall and Drawing room, with their huge vaulted ceilings. Being serenaded while watering and weeding the garden, listening to the double bass, drums and piano wafting out of the open double doors, was pretty nice. Thank you Arctic Monkeys."

Back in January drummer Matt Helders provided an update on the band's new music, confirming that they were in the "early stages of trying to write a [new] record".
