Street posters reveal St. Vincent's new album Daddy's Home is landing in May
Some images of street posters promoting St. Vincent's forthcoming album Daddy's Home have been circulating online, and reveal that the album will be dropping in May.
In December last year, St. Vincent revealed that her follow up to 2017's MASSEDUCTION is "locked and loaded". She added that her upcoming sixth album is "a tectonic shift" in relation to her previous material, and said, "I felt I had gone as far as I could possibly go with angularity. I was interested in going back to the music I've listened to more than any other - Stevie Wonder records from the early '70s, Sly and the Family Stone. I studied at the feet of those masters."
Overnight images of street posters promoting her forthcoming album circulated on Reddit and social media. The poster reveals the album is called Daddy's Home, and will be arriving on 14 May.
The full poster text reads: "Who’s Your Daddy? St. Vincent is back with a record of all-new songs. Warm Wurlitzers and wit, glistening guitars and grit, with sleaze and style for days. Taking you from uptown to downtown with the artist who makes you expect the unexpected. So sit back, light up, and by all means have that bourbon waiting, because … DADDY’S HOME."
