Skepta, Villagers, Jamie xx, and more nominated for Ivor Novello Awards
Skepta, Villagers, Jamie xx, and more have been nominated for Ivor Novello Awards this year.
Skepta's "Shutdown" has been shortlisted for Best Contemporary Song alongside works by Snakehips and Roots Manuva. At the end of 2015 we made the track our Song Of The Year.
Wolf Alice, Years & Years, and Gaz Coombes are also up for awards.
Faris Badwan and Rachel Zeffira - aka Cat's Eyes - have been given a nod in the Best Original Film Score category alongside John Powell (Pan) and Ben Salisbury and Portishead's Geoff Barrow (Ex_Machina).
The nominations seek to "recognise the songwriters and composers... along with their UK music publisher" and will be judged by the "the UK songwriting and composing community."
