Sigur Rós to appear in new season of Game Of Thrones
Following their recent animated incarnations on The Simpsons, Icelandic post-rock troupe Sigur Rós are set to add another TV appearance to their acting resume, after being recruited for the next series of Game Of Thrones.
As Entertainment Weekly note, the trio will appear in the fourth season of the fantasy TV show. “Jón Þór “Jónsi” Birgisson, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason are currently shooting an appearance on the Thrones set in Croatia,” the publication writes. “Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are longtime fans of Sigur Rós and would often listen to their music while shooting in Iceland”.
More as the story develops. Sigur Rós recently released their new album, Kveikur.
