Prince's band The Revolution have announced plans to reform for a series of live shows.
Brown Mark, Bobby Z., Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, and Matt Fink all appear in a new video announcing their return. The band, who backed Prince in various forms, fell apart in the late '80s, but have got back together for various shows and performances since. They last played together in 2012 for a benefit in Minneapolis, albeit without Prince.
In the video they explain that in the days following Prince's sudden death, they've decided to come back for a series of shows. Details don't extend much beyond that, but they say that they'll "be there soon".
