Prince fans queue for hours for £70 tickets, allowed in for a tenner
Prince well and truly trolled London on Sunday night. Following speculation that he would charge “about £6″ for tickets to upcoming shows in the capital, a gig at Shepherds Bush Empire was finally announced – but with tickets rumoured to cost up to £70.
Die-hard fans braved the cold weather and began queuing for hours. After venue staff confirmed the entrance cost to be the inflated fee, the musician then sent out hot chocolate to those waiting.
Finally, those who stuck it out were finally rewarded, with the ticket price dropping to just £10 – a cost that Prince later said he used to pay for shows as a child.
