Postiljonen announce second LP Reverie, air sprawling serenity of opening track "The Open Road"
Swedish dreampop trio Postiljonen have revealed "The Open Road", the opening song on their upcoming second record Reverie.
The new track follows the immense "Wait" and shimmering vistas of "Go!", and shows off a more serene side to the Stockholm-based group. Post-rock undertones, lavish choral harmonies, a broken dawn lilt, and ominous bells all swirl together against a backdrop of self-shot footage from their recent trek across Asia. It's a cleansing, cathartic twist on Postiljonen's texture-rich formula.
Postiljonen headline London's The Lexington on Friday 15 January, with support from ex-Wu Lyf man Francis Lung and Estonian popsmith IIRIS. Tickets are on sale now.
Reverie follows 2013 debut Skyer and is due out 19 February on our sister label, Best Fit Recordings.
