Porter Robinson releases "Mirror" video and launches AR Instagram filter
Porter Robinson has shared the video for his latest single "Mirror" (set to feature on his second album Nurture), and has launched a new Instagram AR filter to go with it.
"Mirror" was released towards the end of last month, and Porter Robinson has just released the accompanying visual.
The self-directed video uses Live2D face-tracking technology to map his facial movements onto a hand-drawn avatar.
As well as releasing the video, Porter Robinson has launched an AR filter on Instagram that includes the avatar from the "Mirror" visual.
Speaking about "Mirror" last month, the musician said, ""Mirror" is a song about the costs of being hard on yourself. We all have these avatars that we give to our critical inner voices - we might imagine a scornful parent telling us we’ll fail, or a critic telling us our work comes up short, or a society telling us that we aren’t good enough - it’s about recognising that most of this criticism is self-inflicted."
