Perfume Genius to release companion book for latest album Set My Heart On Fire Immediately
Perfume Genius has announced the release of Immediately, a companion book for his 2020 album Set My Heart On Fire Immediately.
Four months on from the release of Set My Heart On Fire Immediately, Perfume Genius, aka Mike Hadreas, has announced a companion book for the record titled Immediately.
According to Pitchfork, the book will be spread across 80 pages, and will include a variety of lyrics, photographs by Camille Vivier, and a foreword from poet/novelist Ocean Vuong.
Part of the foreword reads, "This is music to both fight and make love to. To be shattered and whole with. If sound is, after all, a negotiation/disruption of time, then in the soft storm of Set My Heart On Fire Immediately, the future is here. Because it was always here. Welcome home."
Earlier this month, Perfume Genius covered Leonard Cohen's "Bird On The Wire" during a KCRW In Residence session.
