Pearl Jam preview new song "River Cross" in Super Bowl Verizon advert
A snippet of Pearl Jam's new song "River Cross" (from their forthcoming Gigaton album) featured in last night's Super Bowl Verizon advert.
Last month, Pearl Jam released the first single from Gigaton, "Dance of the Clairvoyants".
During last night's (2 February) Super Bowl, a Verizon advert previewed a second track from their new record, titled "River Cross".
Gigaton will be Pearl Jam's first new album in seven years, after 2013's Lightning Bolt.
Speaking about their 11th studio LP, Pearl Jam's Mike McCready says, "Making this record was a long journey. It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times."
