Oberhofer's new cut "Someone Take Me Home" is a hope-filled ode to loneliness [Premiere]
Oberhofer has unveiled "Someone Take Me Home", his latest single, on Best Fit.
The tune features on upcoming LP Chronovision alongside other tasters like "Memory Remains" and "White Horse, Black River".
The track's a rocky barrage of pleading punk snarls and agitated angst. Despite this, it's warm and fuzzy, and thoroughly endearing - someone should really take Oberhofer home. It reeks of pep and optimism, even though his desperate calls for affection go seemingly unheard; it's sweet in many ways, like a forlorn doo-wop ballad lamenting lost love of lack thereof.
Chronovision is out via Glassnote on 9 October. It was formed from 106 demos, and produced by Oberhoferhimself in the Catskills, Seattles, Tacoma, New York and Los Angeles; it was mixed by Ben Allen in Atlanta.
