
My Morning Jacket releasing new album The Waterfall II on Friday
My Morning Jacket have confirmed their new album The Waterfall II, and will be releasing it on Friday (10 July).
Yesterday (6 July), My Morning Jacket shared a cryptic clip that included new music playing over a background of a waterfall and a picturesque bridge.
A leaked pre-order page also hinted further that the band were teasing The Waterfall II, the follow up to their last album - 2015's The Waterfall.
This afternoon, the band have confirmed their new album The Waterfall II, and it's dropping on Friday (10 July).
According to Consequence of Sound, the band were said to have recorded enough material for two LP's.
The Waterfall II was recorded during the same sessions as their 2015 LP at Panoramic House in Stinson Beach, California.
Lead vocalist Jim James rediscovered Waterfall II track "Spinning My Wheels" while on a walk in the early days of the coronavirus lockdown, and in turn revisited the rest of the unreleased material.
